Behind every helmet is a human worth knowing-a
story, a smile, a reason to serve.
Danielle Lee (14-C)
Nominated by: Battalion Chief David Penny
Firefighter Danielle Lee continues to exemplify what it
means to lead by example—on and off duty. Stationed at 14-C, FF Lee is known
for consistently going above and beyond in her commitment to
the department and her community.
She regularly initiates fitness routines at the station,
encouraging participation across shifts and building camaraderie and wellness
among her team. Her proactive approach extends to training and daily
operations—always thinking ahead and anticipating the needs of both Station 14
and the Battalion as a whole.
Outside of work, FF Lee gives generously of her time at
Willow Springs High School, where she serves as a coach and mentor for the
women's soccer and lacrosse teams. Her presence there as a coach, trainer, and
role model has made a lasting impact on the lives of many young women.
Chief Penny describes her as “gritty, diligent, and
intentional—someone who gets her hands dirty every day while wearing a big
smile.” With a leader’s focus and a servant’s heart, FF Danielle Lee embodies
the spirit of dedication, leadership, and community service.

you for all you do!
